Unreliable business broadband is fixable.
Outages, slowdowns at peak times, dropouts during important calls, support tickets that go nowhere — none of it is acceptable on business infrastructure. The fix is proper diagnosis, the right product, failover, and a provider that owns the whole stack.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for unreliable business broadband in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
Random outages disrupting work
Connection drops for 5 minutes, 30 minutes, an afternoon. Comes back without explanation. Happens often enough that everyone's stopped reporting it.
Slowdowns at peak hours
Speed plummets at 9am, 12pm, 3pm — contention with neighbouring businesses on the same exchange or cabinet. Symptom of shared broadband under load.
VoIP and video calls degraded
Voice calls echo and cut out, video calls freeze, screen-shares stutter. The line works for basic browsing but fails at real-time traffic.
Support tickets that go nowhere
Reported the issue six times, each report opens a new ticket with a fresh tier-1 agent. Nobody investigates because nobody owns it.
Fix at the root, not symptom-by-symptom
Unreliable business broadband almost always has an identifiable root cause: line faults, contention on the shared product, inadequate router/firewall, or upstream carrier issues. The fix path is diagnosis (line monitoring for 7-14 days), then targeted action — could be a line fault investigation, could be a product upgrade, could be 4G/5G failover for resilience, could be a router replacement. We diagnose first, fix at the right layer, and back it with real SLAs.
The Telexico approach to unreliable business broadband.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Diagnosis with data
Line monitoring for 7-14 days captures the actual failure patterns — not 'we'll send an engineer to check' guesswork.
Right product for the workload
Sometimes the broadband is fine and contention is the issue; sometimes the line is faulty; sometimes you need a leased line. We tell you which.
4G/5G failover
Auto-failover to mobile data when the line drops — business continues through outages instead of stopping.
SLA-backed uptime
Real SLAs with credits if we miss them — not best-effort consumer guarantees.
Proactive monitoring
We see issues before you do — packet loss, latency spikes, line degradation — and act before they cause outages.
UK engineers, real response
Wolverhampton-based engineers for on-site break-fix. SLA response times measured in hours, not days.
Built to deliver actual reliability
Most UK broadband marketed as 'business' is consumer-grade with a business label. Real business broadband has SLAs, proactive monitoring, dedicated support pathways, optional failover, and a relationship with the carrier that lets us push faults through to actual resolution. That's the difference.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
Businesses living with daily dropouts
Reboot the router three times a day. Not normal. Fixable with proper diagnosis and the right combination of broadband + failover.
Retail losing card payments
Card terminal offline during peak service. Failover usually fixes immediately; broadband audit identifies whether line itself needs upgrading.
VoIP-dependent businesses
Phones over IP need rock-solid connectivity; intermittent broadband makes VoIP unworkable. Often the right fix is leased line plus failover.
Why UK businesses pick Telexico for reliability
We diagnose with data, fix at the root, and back it with real SLAs. Most UK businesses are still on broadband sold to them as 'business class' that's actually shared consumer-grade. Moving to a properly-engineered setup — right product, monitored, failover, real SLAs — typically eliminates the reliability complaints entirely.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How do you diagnose unreliable broadband?
Line monitoring tool deployed on your network for 7-14 days. Captures every dropout, every speed dip, every latency spike — with timestamps. We then analyse the pattern, identify the most likely cause, and recommend the targeted fix.
Is the fix usually a leased line?
Sometimes — leased lines are the right tool when reliability genuinely justifies the cost. But often the fix is much cheaper: a better business broadband product, a 4G/5G failover bolt-on, a router replacement, or pushing the carrier into a proper fault investigation. We'd rather quote you the right fix than the most expensive fix.
What's 4G/5G failover and what does it cost?
A 4G or 5G router that auto-takes-over when your primary line drops — your devices keep working through the outage seamlessly. Typically £30-80/month depending on data allowance. For businesses where downtime costs more than that per hour, it's an obvious win.
Can I get an SLA on my current line?
If we move you onto a Telexico-provisioned product, yes — SLA-backed uptime with real credits if we miss them. SLAs vary by product class (business broadband typically 99.5%; leased lines 99.95-99.99%). We'd quote against your specific setup.
What if my current provider says everything's fine?
Common — their monitoring may not detect the brief intermittent dropouts that affect you, or they may be running standard scripted checks that miss real faults. Our continuous monitoring captures what they miss. We can use the evidence to push the existing carrier into a proper fault investigation, or recommend switching.
How long does fixing take?
Diagnosis: 7-14 days. Failover install: 1-2 weeks. Broadband upgrade: 2-4 weeks. New leased line: 6-12 weeks. We give realistic timelines once diagnosis is complete and you know which path you're taking.
Will I lose service during the fix?
No. We design transitions with parallel-running where possible — old line stays live until the new platform is tested. Failover installs are additive (no impact on existing line). Broadband upgrades may have a brief cutover window which we schedule with you.
