IoT and M2M SIMs: multi-network data for the devices that keep your business running.
Card terminals, alarms, trackers, vending machines, sensors and failover routers all need a connection that works wherever the device is and can be managed without a site visit. Telexico IoT and M2M SIMs give you that from the same portal and the same bill as your phones and broadband, with the smart features included free of charge.
More than a data SIM.
Because the platform has advanced API access to the cellular network, it controls the traffic that runs over the SIM. That is what makes the features below possible, and every one of them is included free of charge.
Smart call recording
Voice calls on the SIM can be recorded and kept with the rest of your call recordings.
Real-time CDRs
Call detail records and data usage as they happen, per SIM, so a runaway device is spotted the same hour.
Online SIM provisioning and configuration
Order, activate and configure SIMs online, with fewer people in the chain and fewer errors.
Data and call barring
Bar data, calls or both per SIM, instantly, from the portal.
Fraud alerts
Alerts triggered when a customisable event happens, so unusual usage is flagged before it is billed.
Multiple numbers on one SIM
SIMs are available with multiple mobile numbers, so one device can stand in for several phones.
Manage every SIM without touching the device.
Place SIM orders
New SIMs ordered and provisioned online, in bulk where you need them.
Toggle data on the go
Switch data on or off per SIM from anywhere.
Reset SIM cards
Remote resets for devices that have lost their connection, without a site visit.
SIM locations on a map
See where each SIM last connected, for fleets, assets and remote sites.
Report SIM faults
Raise a fault against a specific SIM from the same screen, with the usage history attached.
Over a billion IoT devices are connected worldwide. These are the ones we see most.

Deeper insight into energy consumption, so resources are used more sustainably.

Crop sensors, weather stations, livestock trackers and agricultural machinery, connected wherever they stand.

Climate, security, lift usage and maintenance, monitored and controlled remotely.

Vending machines, checkout systems, card terminals and theft prevention on a connection that never shares the shop WiFi.

Intrusion detection, hazard detection and site monitoring with a connection that does not depend on the building’s broadband.

Efficiency and security for goods and people in transit, with trackers that work across borders.
IoT and M2M SIMs: your questions.
What is the difference between an IoT SIM and a normal business SIM?
An IoT or M2M SIM is built for a device rather than a person: multi-network, data-led, managed in bulk from a portal with real-time usage, remote reset and barring. A standard business SIM is a tariff for a phone. We supply both, on the same bill.
Which networks do the SIMs use?
They roam across the UK networks and, where needed, across 200+ countries, connecting to the strongest signal available at the device’s location rather than being tied to one carrier.
Can I see where a device is and what it is using?
Yes. The portal shows real-time call detail records and data usage per SIM, shows SIM locations on a map, and lets you toggle data on or off, reset a SIM or report a fault without touching the device.
Do the SIMs support call recording?
Yes. Because the platform controls the traffic on the SIM, voice calls on the SIM can be recorded and fraud alert emails sent when a customisable event occurs, which is unusual for an IoT SIM.
What do people use them for?
Card terminals, alarm and telecare diallers, vehicle and asset trackers, vending and self-service machines, CCTV and site monitoring, energy and building sensors, farm equipment, and the cellular side of a 4G/5G failover router.
Is there a minimum term?
Terms depend on the data plan; most are monthly with the value-added features included at no extra charge. Tell us the device, the data it uses and where it lives, and we quote the plan that fits.
Connectivity that belongs with it.
Business mobile SIMs
SIM-only plans for people, on O2, Vodafone and EE, with no 24-month lock-in.
4G/5G failover
The hybrid router whose cellular side runs on an IoT SIM like these.
CCTV and security
Cameras and alarms that stay connected when the broadband does not.
Business connectivity
Broadband, full fibre and leased lines on the same bill.
Business broadband
The fixed line behind most sites.
