An honest indication, not a marketing coverage map.
Type your postcode above. The checker uses your postcode prefix (the first 2-4 characters that identify your area, e.g. WV3, B15, M14) to give you an honest summary of what Telexico typically delivers in that area.
This is not a real-time Openreach availability lookup. Those are restricted to authorised ISPs and the data changes daily. What we provide is more useful in some ways: a summary of what we genuinely achieve in your area today, including realistic install timelines, where local infrastructure has quirks, and whether we have engineering presence nearby.
The definitive answer for your specific business address (the actual FTTP availability at your exact building, the actual leased line install date for your site, the actual 4G signal strength at your premises) comes from the free site survey, which is the first step of our infrastructure review. The checker gets you to a useful starting point without making promises we can't keep at the brochure-level.
UK business connectivity is geography-dependent.
The four big variables that change dramatically by where your business is.
Full fibre (FTTP) availability
UK full-fibre rollout is uneven. Central Birmingham, Manchester, London — well-served. Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley — typically Openreach FTTP available. Smaller towns in rural Wales, Scottish Highlands, Cornwall — often FTTC only or no fibre at all. Your postcode determines whether you have realistic gigabit options or whether the realistic answer is FTTC + 4G failover or Starlink.
Leased line install timeline
Typical urban UK leased line: 21-45 working days. Suburban: 30-60 days. Rural areas without existing duct infrastructure: 60-120 days or longer due to civil engineering work. Your postcode is a strong indicator of which band you're in.
4G/5G network strength
The four UK networks vary by region. EE has the broadest UK 5G; Vodafone strong in cities; Three good urban / variable rural; O2 widespread but slower 5G rollout. Your postcode tells us which network is realistically the strongest performer at your area — important for both business mobile and 4G/5G failover.
Local engineering presence
Telexico engineers are based in the West Midlands (Wolverhampton HQ, Birmingham, Black Country). For West Midlands customers, install and break-fix can be on-site quickly. For UK-wide customers, we work with national install partners and remote-deliver where appropriate. Knowing your postcode tells us which delivery model applies.
Services that don't depend on your postcode.
Most Telexico services are UK-wide and don't depend on where you are. Hosted VoIP and SIP trunks work anywhere you have any UK internet connection. Microsoft Teams Phone works wherever your team has internet. AI Receptionist works anywhere your phone number can route — UK-wide. Business mobile (SIMs across EE, Vodafone, O2, Three) works UK-wide, though specific coverage at your sites matters for performance.
Starlink for business works anywhere with sky visibility — particularly useful for rural sites without fixed-line options, construction sites, remote operations.
The postcode-dependent services are the fixed-infrastructure ones: FTTP business broadband (depends on Openreach/CityFibre rollout at your postcode), leased lines (depends on local duct infrastructure and civils complexity), business WiFi installs (depends on whether engineers can reach your site or whether it's a remote-managed deployment). These are the things the coverage checker focuses on.
Review my current setup.
Not ready to switch yet? Send us your current contracts, bills, or photos of your existing equipment. We'll review what you have, what you're paying, and where you could simplify, consolidate or improve — without any pressure to buy anything from us.
We benchmark your existing broadband, phones, mobile and IT against current UK market pricing and what your business actually needs.
Real engineer review of your current connectivity, voice setup, WiFi, security and continuity — strengths, gaps, and where you're overpaying or underprotected.
We tell you honestly what's available at your postcode — FTTP, leased line, alt-net carriers — and which makes commercial sense for your operation.
For businesses still on ISDN or aging on-premises PBX — an honest cost-and-feature comparison before the 2027 BT switch-off forces a rushed decision.
No hard sell. No fixed package pressure. If we're not a better fit, we'll tell you straight — and recommend what is.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the coverage checker?
The checker uses your postcode prefix to give an honest indication of what Telexico typically delivers in your area — FTTP availability, leased-line install timelines, 4G/5G coverage strength, and our local engineering presence. It's not a real-time Openreach or CityFibre availability lookup; for that level of accuracy you need a full site survey, which is the first step of our free infrastructure review. Use the checker as a starting point — what we typically achieve in your area — then book the survey for definitive answers.
What does it actually check?
Your postcode prefix tells us: (1) Which UK region you're in (England, Scotland, Wales, NI) and the engineering coverage we have there. (2) Whether full fibre (FTTP) is widely deployed in your area or whether you're more likely to be on FTTC. (3) Whether leased lines have realistic install timelines or whether your area has complex civil-engineering challenges. (4) Strength of 4G/5G coverage across the four UK networks at your area. (5) Whether Telexico engineers regularly install in your area or whether it's a UK-wide remote-delivered project.
Why isn't this a real-time API call to Openreach?
Honesty: real-time Openreach API access is restricted to authorised ISPs and the data changes daily as new fibre rollout happens. A real-time check on this page would either be misleading (cached data) or expensive to maintain accurately. Instead we tell you what we typically deliver in your area today, and the actual definitive check happens as part of the free survey. This way you get a useful starting point without the false confidence of a coverage-map screenshot.
What if my postcode isn't covered?
We work UK-wide. Some sectors (mobile workforce coordination, leased lines, hosted VoIP, AI Receptionist, business mobile) we deliver nationally — install from our engineering hubs, manage centrally, fully UK support. Some require regional civil work (FTTP in specific Openreach-managed areas, large-scale on-site WiFi deployments) where our coverage strength varies by region. Tell us your postcode and we'll be honest about whether we can deliver what you need.
Is the checker free to use?
Yes — it's a free tool with no signup required. You enter your postcode, get an honest area summary. If you want a full survey (which IS the definitive answer for FTTP availability, leased line install dates, on-site WiFi design), that's also free and there's no commitment to proceed.
What if I'm in Northern Ireland, Scotland, or rural areas?
Telexico delivers UK-wide for most services. Mobile (business SIMs), VoIP (hosted PBX, SIP trunks), AI Receptionist, and Starlink work anywhere in the UK with cellular or satellite coverage. FTTP and leased lines depend on local infrastructure — Northern Ireland uses different network operators than England (BT, openreach equivalents); rural Scotland often needs Starlink or 4G/5G as primary; rural Wales similar. Tell us your specific postcode and we'll be straight about what's deliverable.
