CityFibre business installation, managed end-to-end.
From CityFibre availability check to live in days — Telexico handles CityFibre installation end-to-end for UK businesses. Site survey, carrier coordination, on-site engineering, managed router, integration with VoIP and WiFi.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for cityfibre business installation in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
Carrier-direct installs that slip
Direct CityFibre installs often slip without somebody managing the schedule — engineer doesn't show, building access issues, civils complications. Managed delivery means somebody owns the timeline.
Kit dropped on the desk, no integration
CityFibre engineer terminates the line and leaves; you're left configuring a router that doesn't talk to your VoIP or WiFi. Managed install means it all works at handover.
Internal cabling not designed properly
ONT placement matters — wrong location, awkward cable runs, kit sitting in a public area. Survey first means it gets placed properly.
Migration day downtime without proper planning
Switching from existing broadband and phones to CityFibre without coordination = hours of downtime. We schedule cutovers around your operation.
How a Telexico CityFibre install actually runs
Day 1: CityFibre availability check at your specific address. Day 2-3: site survey — ONT location, cable route, router placement, building access requirements. Day 4-7: CityFibre install slot scheduled, building landlord notified if required. Day 8-12: physical install (CityFibre engineer plus Telexico engineer attending), ONT placed, managed router commissioned, VoIP and WiFi integrated, QoS configured. Day 13-15: pilot phase with monitoring, handover with documentation. Typical 10-15 working days where the building is CityFibre-enabled; longer where civils are required.
The Telexico approach to cityfibre business installation.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Project-managed end-to-end
Telexico project manager owns the install from availability check to go-live — clear status throughout.
Telexico engineer on site
We attend with the CityFibre engineer — managed router commissioned, network integrated, VoIP configured.
Cable route designed before install day
Survey first, install second — no surprises on the day, no awkward cable runs.
Migration coordinated around your operation
VoIP cutover out-of-hours; number porting timed properly; existing services stay live until cutover.
Integration with VoIP and WiFi included
Install ends with everything working — fibre, managed router, VoIP, WiFi, optional failover.
Handover with documentation
Network diagram, kit list, access details, support contact — proper post-install handover.
Built around UK building reality
Every install is slightly different. CityFibre's network architecture (typically fibre to street nodes, then short fibre runs to buildings) means most installs are clean — but converted period buildings need sensitive cable routes, multi-tenant buildings need landlord coordination, listed buildings need conservation-aware work. We survey first, design around the actual building, and execute the install with somebody on-site who handles complications.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
Standard town-centre commercial premises
Most CityFibre installs — purpose-built or modern commercial buildings with straightforward cable routes.
Converted period buildings
Victorian/Edwardian offices in CityFibre-built town centres — cable runs designed around conservation requirements.
Multi-tenant commercial buildings
Co-working, shared offices, mixed-use blocks — landlord coordination handled as part of the install.
Why UK businesses choose Telexico for CityFibre install
We've installed CityFibre at UK business addresses across the build areas — town-centre offices, retail units, hospitality, healthcare premises, mixed-use buildings. Project-managed, on-site engineer attendance, proper handover. UK provider, UK engineers, UK support relationship.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a CityFibre install take?
Typically 10-15 working days where the building is already CityFibre-enabled. 4-8 weeks where CityFibre needs to enable the building first (run fibre in, build out internal infrastructure). Survey confirms after the availability check.
What happens on install day?
CityFibre engineer arrives, runs the fibre into the building if not already terminated, installs the ONT. Telexico engineer attends, commissions the managed router, configures VoIP QoS and VLANs, integrates business WiFi, configures failover if applicable, tests, hands over.
Will my existing connection stay live during the install?
Yes — we keep the existing line live until the cutover. Cutover scheduled out-of-hours where business operations make that sensible. Old line ceases after cutover.
What about listed-building or restricted-access premises?
Workable but adds time — survey identifies the constraints, cable routes planned around them, sometimes external civils need building consent. We handle the coordination.
Can I have multiple CityFibre lines at the same building?
Yes — dual circuits for resilience, or separate circuits for different tenants in a multi-tenant building. We design accordingly.
What's included in the managed install?
Survey, project management, carrier coordination, Telexico engineer on-site, managed router supplied and configured, VoIP integration, WiFi integration where applicable, QoS configuration, optional failover setup, handover documentation, named account manager.
What about post-install support?
24/7 UK monitoring, named account manager, SLA response (typically 4 hour for standard, faster for premium), UK engineers for on-site break-fix when needed. Real ongoing relationship.
