Direct Routing features

Proper calling inside Microsoft Teams, on our own voice network.

Direct Routing is the flexible, accessible and cost-effective alternative to Microsoft Calling Plans: your team makes and receives external calls from Teams exactly as before, and the calls are carried on Telexico SIP trunks through session border controllers we run ourselves.

Our own session border controllers

Direct Routing links the public telephone network to Teams through SBCs on our own SIP platform rather than a resold third-party bridge, so faults and changes are handled directly.

Encrypted, resilient voice

Encryption over the internet, plus the voice resilience of a platform that fails over across data centres.

01, 02, 03 and 08 termination

UK geographic, 03 and 08 numbers terminate natively on the Teams endpoint with no number translation. Termination charges still apply on 08 numbers.

Network- and number-level resilience

Tailored business continuity: if Teams or your connection is unavailable, calls to your numbers divert where you tell us, so you never miss a call.
