How many access points does a hotel need? +

Depends entirely on the building and design. Roughly one access point per 3-6 rooms in standard areas, denser in high-demand areas (suites, executive floors), plus dedicated coverage for public areas and conference. Site survey is the basis; generic ratios usually under-spec.

What about conference WiFi specifically? +

Designed separately because demands are different — 100+ simultaneous devices in a small space, high bandwidth, business-critical for the event. Multiple high-density access points with proper load-balancing handle it. Sales team can quote confident WiFi to conference clients.
