Business broadband for UK hotels.Guest WiFi, PMS, conference — all reliable.
Hotels are uniquely demanding. Dozens to hundreds of guests streaming, a PMS that can't fail, room TVs, conference rooms running events, restaurant EPOS, CCTV everywhere. Generic broadband isn't built for this. Telexico designs hotel broadband from the building outward — properly surveyed, properly sized, properly resilient.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for business broadband for hotels in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
"Guest WiFi is the most complained-about thing."
TripAdvisor 'WiFi was slow' reviews are reputation poison. A single shared line trying to serve 80 guests streaming on 200 devices doesn't work. Has never worked.
"PMS goes down and the front desk panics."
Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds — if the connection drops, check-in becomes pen and paper. Bookings can't sync. Restaurant charges can't post. Group bookings can't be managed.
"Conference room WiFi is unreliable."
Corporate guests bring expectations. If the conference WiFi is patchy, they remember it and book elsewhere next time. Single AP in a meeting room serving 30 laptops isn't going to cut it.
"Room TVs and streaming consume bandwidth."
Most modern guests stream their own services through the room TV. Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer — all consuming bandwidth that fights with everything else.
How we design hotel broadband.
Site survey of the entire property — every room, every public area, every conference space. We size the connection (typically 500Mbps to symmetric leased line depending on hotel size), design multi-AP mesh covering every guest space, separate guest traffic from operations (PMS, EPOS, CCTV) via VLAN, add 4G/5G failover for the PMS-critical operations, and configure the captive portal for guest WiFi authentication. All managed centrally.
The Telexico approach to business broadband for hotels.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Every-room coverage
Mesh of enterprise APs sized for the building. Every guest room, every public area, every conference space. Surveyed before quoting, tested after install.
PMS protected
Hotel operations on a separated network, prioritised, failover-backed. Check-in stays smooth even during fibre outages.
Conference-grade WiFi
Conference rooms get dedicated APs sized for room capacity. Corporate guests bring 30 laptops, all work. Streams, uploads, video calls — all coexist.
Room streaming supported
Bandwidth sized for guest streaming on top of everything else. Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Sky, Amazon Prime — all run smoothly without slowing the hotel.
Captive portal + GDPR compliance
Branded login page, optional email capture, content filtering for liability protection, GDPR-compliant guest data handling.
Failover for operations
PMS, restaurant EPOS and reception phones stay live even during fibre outages. Guest streaming may slow briefly — operations don't stop.
Built around hotel building realities.
Hotels are physical challenges — thick walls, multiple floors, conference annexes, restaurant areas, bars, leisure facilities. They're also operational complexity — concurrent guest needs, business event needs, staff needs, PMS criticality. Generic broadband doesn't address either. We survey, design, install and support specifically for hotel operations.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
30-room boutique hotel
500Mbps FTTP + 8-AP mesh covering every guest room and public area + captive portal + failover. Guest WiFi reviews transformed. PMS reliable. Affordable monthly cost.
100-room business hotel
Symmetric leased line + 30-AP mesh + conference room dedicated APs + separated VLANs for guest/PMS/CCTV/conference + failover. Corporate guest expectations met.
Wedding venue / conference hotel
Event-grade temporary capacity boosts available. Conference room WiFi sized for full-room laptop and video use. Wedding livestreaming supported. Critical events don't WiFi-fail.
Built for UK hospitality.
We work with hotels from independent boutiques to multi-site groups across the UK. Every install starts with a real site survey — not a Google Maps guess. UK engineering team install and support. Hotel-grade reliability throughout. When something needs attention you reach the people who designed it.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How do you handle different room types and signal strength?
Site survey first. Hotels have wildly varied buildings — Victorian conversions, modern new-builds, listed properties. We measure signal in every guest area before designing the network. AP count and placement reflect what your specific building actually needs.
What about PMS reliability?
PMS runs on a separated, prioritised network with failover. Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds, RoomRaccoon, Little Hotelier and most other UK hotel PMS platforms supported. We design connectivity around the PMS criticality — check-in doesn't go to pen and paper during outages.
How does the captive portal work?
Branded login page (your logo, your messaging). Optional email/details capture for marketing list build. GDPR-compliant. Optional integration with PMS for room-number authentication. Configurable for free + paid tiers if you charge for premium.
Will conference room WiFi cope with 50 laptops?
If designed for it, yes. Conference rooms get dedicated APs sized for full-room capacity. We design with the worst-case event in mind — full room of business users on video calls, uploading large files, streaming. Conference WiFi often a differentiator for corporate bookings.
What about restaurant EPOS and bar tills?
Hotel restaurant and bar EPOS on the operations VLAN with prioritised traffic. Doesn't compete with guest WiFi. Card payments protected by failover. Stays live during outages.
What if guests stream illegal content?
Content filtering at network level blocks the most common problem categories (illegal streaming, piracy, adult content if you choose). Plus audit trail per connected device. Reduces hotel liability exposure significantly.
How quickly can you survey and install?
Survey within 1-2 weeks of enquiry. Design and quote within a further week. Install timeline depends on hotel size — small hotels are 1-2 days on-site, larger hotels 1-2 weeks phased. We work around your operating hours and guest schedule.
