Frequently asked questions
Do you survey before quoting?
Always. We won't quote business WiFi from a phone call — it would be irresponsible. The survey takes an hour or two on-site, no charge, and gives us the data we need to design a proper network. Quote follows within 2-3 working days.
What's the difference between business WiFi and consumer mesh?
Consumer mesh is built down to a price point for home use. Business WiFi is built for sustained concurrent business use, with proper segmentation, professional management, and equipment that doesn't reboot itself nightly. Different product category entirely.
How many access points do I need?
Depends on space, walls, ceiling height, expected user density and concurrent usage. A 10-person office in open plan: 1-2 APs. A 30-person office with cellular offices: 3-5 APs. A warehouse: depends on layout, often 8-15 APs. We design from your specific space.
Can guest WiFi be separated from business?
Yes — different SSIDs (network names), different VLANs (logical networks), different bandwidth limits if needed. Guest devices can't reach business resources. EPOS, file servers, printers, business systems all isolated from guest network.
What about captive portals for marketing?
Optional. Branded login page where guests provide email/phone for marketing list build. GDPR-compliant. Integrates with Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign etc. Useful for retail, hospitality, conference businesses.
Do you manage it ongoing, or just install?
We can do either. Most business customers prefer managed — we monitor the network, push updates, respond to issues. Setup-and-handover also possible for businesses with their own IT team.
What happens when something breaks?
You reach our UK engineering team directly. Most issues we can diagnose and fix remotely through the management portal in minutes. For physical issues (failed AP, cable damage) we dispatch an engineer within agreed SLA timing.
