The Yealink AX86R is the ruggedised Wi-Fi handset: IP67 against dust and water, drop-safe to 1.8 m, and fitted with a red emergency button that triggers an automatic alarm, which makes it a lone-worker device as well as a phone. It connects to the business Wi-Fi 6 network with 802.11k/r/v roaming and registers directly to the Telexico cloud phone system with up to four SIP accounts.
Dual noise-cancelling microphones with Smart Noise Cancellation and Acoustic Shield keep the call clear on a factory floor, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5 mm jack take headsets, push-to-talk works across the team, and the 3,100 mAh battery gives up to 13 hours of talk time or 300 hours on standby over USB-C charging.

How rugged is it?
IP67 waterproof and dustproof with a safe drop height of 1.8 m, in a 218 g handset.
Does it need a base station?
No. The AX86R connects to your Wi-Fi 6 network and registers directly to the cloud phone system; there is no DECT base.
