The WP836, in plain English.
The WP836 is the ruggedised member of Grandstream’s Wi-Fi cordless range. It is rated IP67 against water and dust and drop-safe to 2 metres, so it survives the warehouse floor, the plant room and the care-home laundry. The 2.8-inch colour screen is larger than the WP826’s, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 802.11k/r/v roaming keeps calls up as staff move.
Safety features are built in rather than bolted on: a push-button alarm, man-down, no-movement, running and ambient-sound alarms can alert colleagues or a control room, which makes the WP836 a practical lone-worker handset. Push-to-talk, Bluetooth headset support and HD voice with AI noise reduction complete the specification, and the casing is antibacterial.
Telexico supplies the WP836 provisioned to your cloud phone system with the same directory, groups and recording as the desk phones, and designs the Wi-Fi it depends on where a site needs that done properly.
