The WP826, in plain English.
The WP826 is a cordless phone for sites that already have good Wi-Fi. Instead of a DECT base it connects to your business wireless network on dual-band Wi-Fi 6, with 802.11k/r/v roaming so calls stay up as staff walk between access points. Three SIP accounts, a 2.4-inch colour screen and HD voice with dual microphones make it a full extension on the phone system, not a compromise.
A 3,000 mAh battery gives up to 12 hours of talk time and 240 hours on standby, charged over USB-C with fast charging. Bluetooth supports wireless headsets, a push-to-talk key turns the handset into a walkie-talkie across the team, and the casing is antibacterial, which suits healthcare, hospitality and food environments.
Telexico supplies the WP826 pre-provisioned, and where a site’s Wi-Fi is not yet ready for voice we design and install the Wi-Fi 6 network it runs on, so coverage and roaming are engineered rather than hoped for.

Grandstream WP826: your questions.
Does the WP826 need a base station?
No. It connects directly to your Wi-Fi network and registers to the Telexico cloud phone system, so there is no DECT base and no range limit beyond the Wi-Fi coverage.
Will calls drop when walking between access points?
The WP826 supports 802.11k, 802.11r and 802.11v fast roaming. On a correctly configured business Wi-Fi network calls hand over between access points; we design the network where a site needs it.
WP826 or WP836?
The WP836 adds a larger 2.8-inch screen, IP67 water and dust protection, a 2 m drop rating and man-down and no-movement alarms for demanding sites. For offices, shops and hospitality the WP826 is usually the right choice.
