The Yealink AX83H is a Wi-Fi cordless phone for sites that already run good wireless: it connects to the business Wi-Fi 6 network on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, with 802.11k/v/r roaming so a call carries on as the user walks between access points, and registers directly to the Telexico cloud phone system with up to four SIP accounts. There is no DECT base to install.
A 2.4-inch colour screen, Yealink Optima HD audio with Smart Noise Cancellation, Bluetooth 5.0 for headsets, a 3.5 mm jack and vibration alerts make it a complete extension in a 126 g handset. The 2,000 mAh battery gives up to 9 hours of talk time or 200 hours on standby, charged in the cradle or over USB-C.

Does the AX83H need a base station?
No. It connects to your Wi-Fi network and registers directly to the Telexico cloud phone system, so coverage follows the Wi-Fi rather than a DECT base.
What is the battery life?
Up to 9 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby (laboratory data) from the 2,000 mAh battery, charged in the cradle or by USB-C.
AX83H or AX86R?
The AX86R is the ruggedised version: IP67, a 1.8 m drop rating, a larger 3,100 mAh battery with 13 hours of talk time and a red emergency button. Choose the AX83H for offices and hospitality, the AX86R for industrial and care sites.
