Mesh WiFi for UK business.Proper coverage, properly engineered.
Business mesh WiFi isn't the box you buy in Currys. It's a network of enterprise-grade access points designed from a real site survey, professionally installed, centrally managed, and supported by UK engineers. Telexico mesh WiFi delivers coverage that actually works for business — not a domestic product retrofitted to a commercial space.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for mesh wifi for business in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
"We bought mesh from a high-street shop and it doesn't work properly."
Consumer mesh kit is built for homes, not businesses. Works for a 3-bed house, fails at sustained concurrent business load. Reboots itself. Disconnects randomly.
"Coverage is patchy in odd places."
Mesh without proper survey just puts boxes where it's convenient. Real coverage requires real planning — where the walls are, where the racking is, where the users are.
"It falls over with too many devices."
Consumer mesh handles 20-30 concurrent devices well. Business with 50 staff + IoT + guest devices: 80-150 concurrent. Different product category required.
"No one supports it properly."
Returns to a high-street shop aren't a business support strategy. When it breaks at 9am on a Monday, you need someone to actually fix it — not a chatbot.
What proper business mesh actually delivers.
Survey of your space — measure existing coverage, identify dead zones, plan AP placement. Enterprise-grade mesh APs (Ubiquiti UniFi, Aruba Instant On, Cisco Meraki) sized for your concurrent device count. Professional install with proper cabling and AP mounting. Central management portal for ongoing visibility and changes. UK engineering support when something needs attention.
The Telexico approach to mesh wifi for business.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Enterprise mesh APs
Built for business — 100+ concurrent devices per AP, sustained business workload, regular firmware updates, central management.
Survey-driven design
AP count and placement reflects your actual building, your actual user count, your actual usage patterns. Not guess-driven.
Seamless roaming
Devices hand off between APs without dropping connections. Walk from office to meeting room mid-call — no drop. Walk through a warehouse with a scan gun — no drop.
Central management
Real-time visibility of network health, device count, performance. Add SSIDs, change settings, troubleshoot — all from one portal.
Business security
WPA3, separate networks for staff/guest/IoT, content filtering options, intrusion detection. Built-in, not bolted on.
UK engineering support
When something breaks, you reach engineers who can actually fix it. Most issues resolved remotely through the management portal in minutes.
Built for actual business use.
Consumer mesh works fine for streaming in a domestic setting. Business mesh needs to handle sustained concurrent business load — video meetings, cloud apps, VoIP, IoT, CCTV, EPOS. Different demand profile, different equipment, different design. We deliver the business-grade version.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
Multi-room office
3-6 ceiling-mounted APs covering open plan, cellular offices, meeting rooms, kitchen. Business and guest networks separated. Setup in a day.
Multi-zone retail
Shop floor + back office + stockroom + customer waiting area. EPOS protected from customer streaming. Captive portal for loyalty signup.
Multi-floor building
Floor-by-floor mesh with seamless roaming between floors. Larger setups span 20-50+ APs. Centralised management across the entire building.
Engineered for UK business.
We deliver business mesh WiFi across the UK — offices, retail, hospitality, healthcare, warehousing, education. Survey before every quote. Enterprise-grade equipment. UK engineering team install and support. The same engineer who set you up answers your support call.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
What's wrong with consumer mesh for business?
Consumer mesh is built down to a price point for home use. It handles 20-30 concurrent devices well in a domestic setting. Businesses typically need 50-200+ concurrent devices, with sustained workload from video calls, cloud apps and business systems. Consumer kit fails at that load — disconnections, reboots, performance collapse.
Do I really need a survey?
Yes — without a survey, AP placement is guesswork. Real coverage requires real planning. The survey takes an hour or two on-site, no charge, and gives us the data to design a network that actually works in your specific space.
How many APs do I actually need?
Depends on space, walls, user count, usage patterns. A 10-person open plan office: 1-2 APs. A 30-person office with cellular offices: 3-5 APs. A 100-person multi-floor office: 10-15 APs. A warehouse: depends on layout, often 8-20 APs. Survey gives precise numbers.
Can I add APs later if I expand?
Yes — enterprise mesh scales naturally. Add an AP, it joins the existing mesh, central management auto-configures it. Adding capacity isn't a separate project.
What's the difference between mesh and a single AP?
Single AP works in spaces small enough for one device to cover. Mesh works when you need multiple APs to cover the space, with devices roaming cleanly between them. Most businesses need mesh; some small offices can run on a single high-quality AP.
Will my mobile devices roam cleanly between APs?
Yes — modern enterprise mesh handles roaming properly. Walk between rooms mid-video-call without dropping. The handoff is invisible to the device and the user. Consumer mesh often doesn't handle this well; enterprise mesh does.
What if I already have wired network — can mesh integrate?
Yes — most installs are mesh APs connected to wired infrastructure (each AP has a PoE Ethernet uplink). Pure-wireless mesh is also possible for buildings where running new cable isn't practical. We assess during survey.
