Business broadband for UK warehouses.Built for big buildings, busy operations.
Warehouses are uniquely hard for broadband. Long buildings, metal racking, scan guns roaming, CCTV everywhere, picking systems that can't drop out. Telexico designs connectivity around your actual building and your actual operation — broadband that works in every corner.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for business broadband for warehouses in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
"WiFi drops in the picking aisles."
Domestic-grade kit doesn't cover a 30,000 sq ft warehouse. Scan guns lose connection, pickers stand around waiting, productivity drops. Same router that works in an office is dead 20 metres in.
"CCTV uploads kill the rest of the network."
20 cameras streaming + scan guns + EPOS + office staff = a single broadband line that can't cope. Either cameras drop frames or operations grind.
"One outage and the warehouse stops."
No failover, no resilience. A fibre cut means scan guns dead, WMS unreachable, picking paused, dispatch delayed, customers chasing.
"The roof and racking kill the signal."
Metal roofs, metal racking, concrete walls — warehouse environments are signal-hostile. Standard mesh kit can't get through it. Needs proper survey and proper enterprise APs.
How we design warehouse connectivity.
Start with a site survey: building dimensions, racking layout, what equipment needs coverage, where the CCTV cameras go, how many scan guns are roaming. From that we design a mesh of enterprise wireless access points (Ubiquiti, Aruba, Cisco Meraki — depending on what fits) positioned to cover every aisle. The broadband connection is sized for total load — picking systems + CCTV uplink + office traffic + voice. 4G/5G failover sits on top so a fibre cut doesn't stop dispatch. All managed centrally. All supported by our UK engineering team.
The Telexico approach to business broadband for warehouses.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Enterprise mesh coverage
Every aisle, every loading bay, every office. Designed from a real site survey, not guessed from a Google Maps satellite view.
CCTV bandwidth headroom
Connection sized for the camera load plus everything else. Cameras don't slow the warehouse down, warehouse doesn't slow the cameras down.
4G/5G failover built in
Fibre cuts happen. With failover, operations switch over in 30 seconds. Picking continues, scan guns stay live, dispatch keeps moving.
Survivable connection types
FTTP for cost-effective sites, leased lines for mission-critical operations, Starlink for sites with poor fibre. We match the connection to the building.
Scan gun and IoT coverage
Roaming devices need consistent signal hand-off between access points. We design and test for it specifically — not assume domestic mesh will work.
Managed centrally, supported UK-wide
Multi-site groups get one management dashboard. Single-site operations get UK engineer support. Either way: real engineers, not call centres.
Built around your warehouse, not a fixed package.
We don't quote warehouse broadband from a price list. We do a site survey, understand what your operation runs on, look at your current network's pain points, and design connectivity that fits the building and the workflow. Sometimes that's a leased line and serious mesh; sometimes it's premium FTTP and 4G failover. Either way, you'll know why the design is what it is and what each component does for you.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
30,000 sq ft logistics warehouse
Leased line at 200Mbps symmetric + mesh of 12 APs + 4G failover. Picking systems live in every corner. CCTV uplink uncontested. WMS reachable 24/7.
Cold storage facility
Refrigerated environment plays havoc with signal. Designed mesh around the equipment, plus dedicated bandwidth for temperature monitoring systems. Zero data loss events.
E-commerce fulfilment, peak season
Network designed for 2x capacity during Q4 peak. CCTV, scan guns, WMS, office traffic — all coexist without contention. Failover tested before Black Friday.
UK-installed, UK-supported, real surveys.
We've been building warehouse networks across the UK for years. Every quote follows a real site survey — not a Google Maps guess. Installation is done by our engineering team or vetted partners, never a courier dropping kit in a box. When something needs support, you reach the engineers who designed your network. Same number, same team, same accountability.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Do you survey before quoting?
Always. We won't quote a serious warehouse network from a phone call — it would be irresponsible. The survey takes an hour or two on-site, no charge, and gives you a design + indicative pricing within 2 working days.
Can you cover both warehouse and office in one network?
Yes — most setups have an office area at the front and operations at the back. We design a single network with appropriate VLANs (separating office traffic, operations, guest WiFi, CCTV) and consistent coverage end-to-end.
What broadband speed does a warehouse need?
Depends on what you run. Voice + scan guns + a few office workers can run on 100Mbps. Add CCTV uplink and you need 200-500Mbps. Multi-site with cloud WMS, video conferencing and full CCTV uplink — leased line territory. We size it from the actual load, not a guess.
Does CCTV need its own connection?
Usually no — modern CCTV with on-site NVR recording uses bandwidth only for remote viewing and incident downloads. We just need to ensure the main connection has enough headroom. Cloud-only CCTV is different and usually needs upload-heavy connectivity (leased line or premium FTTP).
How resilient is your failover?
30-second automatic switchover to 4G or 5G. Scan guns and EPOS continue working with no manual intervention. Voice calls hold up. Bandwidth on failover is slower (typical 50-150Mbps on 4G, faster on 5G) but enough to keep core operations running.
Do you work with our existing WMS / picking system?
Yes — we don't replace your operational software. We provide the connectivity and WiFi infrastructure that your systems run on. We've worked alongside SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Manhattan, Mintsoft, Linnworks, Brightpearl and most other major WMS/OMS platforms.
Can you scale us up for Q4 peak?
Yes — we design networks with planned headroom and the option to spin up extra capacity at peak. Some warehouses double their connectivity for November-December and scale back in January. We handle the contract flexibility so it's not painful.
