Business WiFi for UK warehouses.Scan guns, IoT, racking aisles — full coverage.
Warehouses are uniquely hostile to WiFi — metal racking, high ceilings, concrete walls, moving stock, roaming scan guns. Domestic mesh kit fails inside 20 metres. Our warehouse WiFi is designed from real surveys with industrial APs, proper mounting, and the coverage logistics operations actually need.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for business wifi for warehouses in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
"Scan guns drop signal in the aisles."
Pickers walk 20m into a racking aisle, scan gun loses signal, picking stops. Multiple times an hour, across the team, productivity quietly drains.
"Metal racking kills WiFi."
WiFi waves don't penetrate metal racking well. Domestic mesh kit designed for plasterboard walls doesn't work in industrial environments. Coverage gaps everywhere.
"Roaming devices keep disconnecting."
Scan guns and tablets moving through the warehouse don't hand off cleanly between consumer APs. Sessions drop, devices have to reconnect, productivity stutters.
"IoT devices can't connect."
Temperature sensors, asset trackers, automated equipment — all need consistent connectivity. Patchy WiFi means missed data, failed automation, ops blind spots.
How we design warehouse WiFi.
Site survey is non-negotiable. We walk the warehouse, measure signal characteristics, identify metal racking impact, plan AP placement for every aisle and bay. Industrial-grade APs (Ubiquiti UniFi industrial, Aruba, Cisco Meraki — depending on environment) mounted at the right height and angle. Seamless roaming configuration so scan guns hand off cleanly between APs. Separate networks for operations / IoT / staff WiFi.
The Telexico approach to business wifi for warehouses.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Every-aisle coverage
APs positioned to cover every racking aisle, every loading bay, every staff area. Surveyed before quoting. Tested after install. No coverage gaps.
Industrial-grade APs
Built for warehouse environments — high ceilings, metal interference, sustained business load. Not consumer kit retrofitted. Designed for the job.
Seamless roaming
Scan guns and tablets hand off between APs without dropping sessions. Pickers don't notice when they move from one AP's coverage to another's.
IoT-ready
Temperature sensors, asset trackers, automated equipment all supported. Separate IoT network with appropriate bandwidth and security profiles.
CCTV-friendly
Warehouse CCTV often uses WiFi for the camera-to-NVR link. We design with CCTV bandwidth in mind. Camera streams don't degrade scan gun performance.
UK install + ongoing support
Installed by our UK team — proper cabling, proper mounting, proper testing. Supported by the same engineers. Real expertise, real accountability.
Built around warehouse realities.
Warehouses aren't offices. The space is industrial, the devices are roaming, the user density is mobile, the criticality is operational. We design specifically for that — not retrofit an office or restaurant template. 5,000 sq ft single-bay to 100,000 sq ft logistics centre — same care, different scale.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
30,000 sq ft logistics warehouse
12-AP industrial mesh covering every aisle + dedicated staff WiFi + IoT network for temperature sensors. Picking productivity transformed. CCTV bandwidth uncontested.
Cold storage facility
Refrigerated environment plays havoc with signal. Designed mesh with extra APs around cold areas. Dedicated bandwidth for temperature monitoring. Zero data loss.
E-commerce fulfilment, Q4 peak
Network designed for 2x normal user density during peak. Failover capacity in place. Scan guns, packing stations, dispatch all work concurrently without contention.
Engineered for UK warehouses.
We design and install warehouse WiFi for logistics, e-commerce fulfilment, cold storage, manufacturing and distribution across the UK. Survey before every quote. Installed by our UK team. Supported by the same engineers. We understand warehouses because we've networked dozens of them.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Do you survey before quoting?
Always. Warehouse WiFi quoted without a survey is unreliable — we won't do it. The survey takes 2-3 hours on-site, no charge, and gives us the data to design a network that actually works in your specific building.
Will scan guns work everywhere in the warehouse?
Yes — if designed properly. We place APs specifically to cover every racking aisle, with seamless roaming so scan guns hand off cleanly as pickers move. Coverage tested after install with actual scan guns, not just laptops.
How is industrial-grade WiFi different from office WiFi?
Industrial APs are built for high-ceiling environments with metal interference, sustained high concurrent device counts, and longer maintenance intervals. Office APs aren't designed for that. Using office kit in warehouses is a common mistake — and a common cause of coverage problems.
Can IoT devices and scan guns share the same network?
Same physical network, separate logical networks (VLANs). IoT on its own network with appropriate security and bandwidth profile. Scan guns on the operations network. Both work cleanly, both secured appropriately.
What about CCTV — same network or separate?
Depends on the CCTV setup. On-site NVR with wired cameras: doesn't usually need WiFi. Wireless cameras: we design with dedicated bandwidth allocation so cameras don't degrade scan gun performance, or vice versa.
How long does install take?
Depends on warehouse size. Small warehouses (under 10,000 sq ft): 1-2 days on-site. Medium warehouses: 3-5 days. Large warehouses (50,000+ sq ft): 1-2 weeks phased. We work around your operating hours and dispatch schedule.
Can you scale up for peak periods?
Yes — we design with planned headroom. Some warehouses temporarily boost network capacity for Q4 peak (additional APs, additional bandwidth) and scale back in January. We make that operationally simple, not a project.
