Why this model

The HT801, in plain English.

The HT801 is a one-port analogue telephone adapter: an analogue phone, fax machine, cordless DECT base, door entry panel or lift emergency line plugs into its FXS port and becomes an extension on the Telexico cloud phone system. With ISDN and analogue copper lines being withdrawn, it is how legacy devices survive the switch-off.

It supports T.38 fax relay with automatic fallback to G.711 pass-through, caller ID in the UK BT format, pulse and DTMF dialling and a 5 REN ring load, and it is secured with SRTP, TLS and encrypted provisioning with failover to a secondary SIP server.

Telexico provisions the HT801 remotely and supplies it configured for the device it will serve. Call for best price, and ask us first about lift lines and alarm panels, which have their own requirements.

Highlights

  • Keeps a fax machine, PDQ terminal, lift line or door panel working after the ISDN and copper switch-off

Common questions

Grandstream HT801: your questions.

Will my fax machine work on the HT801? +

In most cases, yes. The HT801 supports T.38 fax relay with automatic fallback to G.711 pass-through. We test each fax line after installation.

Can I connect a lift line or alarm dialler? +

Often, but lift lines and alarm panels have specific requirements, including battery back-up, and some need a dedicated solution. We survey them before quoting.

How many devices does one HT801 support? +

One analogue device per HT801. For two devices, we supply two adapters or a multi-port unit.
